Multiple project Ramblings
For some reason I've developed a horrible case of startitis the past couple of weeks (and that doesn't even count the spinning), but I think the heat this summer has really smashed my usual focus. Plus, I really need different projects for different times. I started another, yes, another pair of socks. This time though I'm trying to conquer my usual downfalls by starting toe up (no kitchener) and doing both at the same time (no more socks for amputees). I thought it would be smart for some reason to knit Jeff socks, so they're geared for his size 13 feet. Ha! These are just for knitting at work at lunch and when I need small and portable though. So we'll see... maybe the third time is the charm.
These are giant socks people... or will be if I ever get through. I'm almost afraid they'll be too big. Oh yeah, I'm using Fleece Artist Sea Wool in Mineral and it is seriously yummy stuff.
Because I needed another at home project and also because I just couldn't wait to cast on any longer, I also started Astrid from Berroco's Norah Gaughan Collection Vol. 1. This collection has some incredibly interesting patterns in it and I'm hoping to make more than just Astrid. This is probably going to be a fairly long term project because it's a little fussy, but it is really cool.
Yay! knitted circles. They need to be blocked badly, but otherwise I think I love them.
The yarn is Artfibers Valparaiso in colour #7 and I never really measured gauge which could come back to haunt me although I doubt it. It's a scarf. I'm really excited to see how this starts turning out... although not so excited to block and sew together all those circles.
