Oops!

So, needless to say, it's been busy around here. Not so much knitting busy, but life busy- what with commuting 300 miles for work and such- and I've kind of managed to have fallen off the whole blog thing. I haven't even been very good at keeping up with my bloglines. All this however, is coming to an end, including the excessively long commute. After careful consideration I have definitely decided I'm not a big city girl- or a nomad. I realized this after every weekend I spent in Coeur d'Alene became more wonderful, restful and looked forward to with huge anticipation. So, back home I go, although it is nice to know that I can go somewhere again if I choose. I always like to keep my options open.

I have started knitting a little again finally. That's another thing this adventure has taught me, I don't knit well under stress. I am much better at my craft when I'm well rested and happy. I'm so glad I've discovered how much I love my home.

I've also discovered that I'm really good at knitting sock cuffs... not so much the rest of the sock. It doesn't keep me from buying more sock yarn though.

More Koigu because I think I'm addicted- also I started a plain sock in Jitterbug:

I think the colour is called Jay. I'm too lazy to go find the band although I'm supposedly using the pattern off of it. I've also been working on a Wing of the Moth shawl which is for my friend Melody for her upcoming wedding. I have exactly a month to finish, but I have a good start so I'm feeling pretty confident.

I'm using douceur et soie by K1C2 in rose plum. I'm hoping to accomplish 200 yards a week and get done well before my deadline. It should be doable as after next week I'll definitely have a couple of weeks off of work. Moving aside, I should have lots of extra time. Hopefully extra time to keep up with blogging.
