Out and About
I finally made it out of my apartment this week and out and about:
These are from a rather random, unplanned trip to downtown Seattle on Monday. The weather cooperated quite nicely though and as usual there are many more shots at my flickr page. I also managed a mini yarn crawl today and got some nice sock/lace acquisitions. Hopefully if I can drag myself out of bed tomorrow I'll get some shots. Things are getting a little less daunting driving wise for me- Everett has been a snap lately... although as soon as I say that I'll get myself hopelessly lost somehow. Even Seattle wasn't too bad although I didn't really appreciate the downtown parking. I even managed to make it from downtown to up on Queen Anne without using my map which I was rather proud of although I probably took the most circuitous rout possible.
I don't know if anyone has noticed yet, but I tend to be somewhat of a workaholic, so all further exploring is being put on hold while I work seven 12 hour night shifts in a row. I'll be lucky if I manage to much more than roll myself to/from bed/work and feed myself for the next week. I also somehow managed to stay committed to working one weekend a month at my old job in Coeur d'Alene, so the next week which would normally be my week off I'll be driving back to Idaho for the weekend to fulfill my work duties there. Crazy I know, but at the time it seemed like it would be resume building to stay at my old job longer. I have at least finally knitted a few stitches again... so at least I know I haven't gone completely crazy.

I have always wanted to try out living in the Pacific Northwest, so I look forward to hearing your impressions and seeing your pictures. Best of luck to you!

Hey! I am not really stalking you, but after posting a comment on your prior message, I kept reading and noticed a few commonalities. I work 12 shifts at night, and I live in Idaho. Well, you are in a much nicer place near Seattle now. I had not run across your blog before reading a post at black dog knits, which I read regularly.
