First off, thanks for all the lovely comments on Katrine. I love getting comments! Marie asked about the Kathmandu as compared to Rowan's tweed. I must admit that while I like Rowan's Yorkshire Tweed a lot, I think I enjoyed working with the Kathmandu more. The Kathmandu is definitely softer than the YT (merino/silk/cashmere blend as apposed to 100% new wool), and in the balls I have it's tweedier which in my mind is a good thing. Also, to the best of my knowledge Rowan has discontinued their Yorkshire Tweed line altogether. I definitely think the Kathmandu is a good substitute for their aran and dk weights. And, for those conscious of their pocketbooks, it's slightly cheaper.
Speaking of Rowan and tweed, I've tried out another one of their tweed yarns this week: Rowan Summer Tweed which is a 70/30 raw silk cotton blend. In the spirit of Project Spectrum it's in blue and yes, it is another shop sample, but this time there will be no stockinette for me.
This 4 foot long stretch of lace is destined to become a simple lace shrug from the cover of Nashua Handknits North American Lifestyle Vacation Series. It will probably spend the next two days drying however.
While I'm waiting for it to dry, I'm being productive and casting on for the 2nd Endpaper Mitt. There will be no SMS (second mitt syndrome) here:

Such beautiful lace! and definitely a wonderful thing for Project Spectrum ;) Thanks for taking part.
